Plex is a complete multimedia player whose greatest asset is the possibility of viewing our movies and series remotely from any device. To do this, it is necessary to install a server program on the computer where the multimedia content is located. Plex Media Server is that tool.
The program, once installed, will run resident in the background, and will allow us to manage all the folders that we want to share with other devices that have Flex installed, whether they are Windows, Mac or Linux desktops, Android smartphones, Chromecast or even video game consoles like Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and their successors, requiring the installation of the Plex Home Theater application on each of them.
The server will allow us to open a local administration page from the browser itself from which we will synchronize all the content, being necessary to register a user account so that our library is synchronized in all the places where we run Plex.
